Open Enrollment for Summer Camp 2012 at Colorado Heights University is now underway and began on Monday, January 2nd, 2012! We are looking forward to our SIXTH year of hosting the best performing arts program in Colorado. It will be an amazing time full of fun and learning experiences for your kids. Our program is designed to provide youth with a place to nurture their creative instinct and develop a connection to the stage, while being guided by RMCT Founder & Artistic Director Anthony Hubert. Your children will showcase and improve their talents as they enjoy the summer with us on the prestigious campus of CHU! Kids love our fun & highly-skilled staff - we have a 1:10 teacher to student ratio or better at all times.

CAMP DATES

There will be two summer camp sessions, each will be three weeks in length. Students can sign up for one session, or for both sessions. There is a discounted tuition price for students who register for both sessions ($25 off), and a further discounted tuition price for students registering in all 3 sessions ($25 off + $50 off = $75 off!).

NOTE: CAMP HAS BEEN EXTENDED ONTO THE LAST SATURDAY OF THE 3rd WEEK FOR THE 2012 SEASON! (excluding age group 6-8 in Sessions 1 & 2) (no Saturday camp for anyone during weeks 1 & 2)

The dates of each session are as follows:

Session 1: June 4 - June 23
Session 2: June 25 - July 14
Session 3: July 23 - August 11 RMCT's NEW ALL AGES "Back to School" Camp!

**For those campers who would like to register for Session 1, but attend a school that does not end before June 4th, RMCT will accommodate these students by arranging for an alternate audition date, and making sure students are on-track and prepared during their first day of camp. Please contact us with any questions, and make sure to make note of the conflict of attendance during the registration process in the appropriate box.

CAMP HOURS
The hours of summer camp (Monday - Friday) are as follows:

CAMP: 9:00 am to 3:30 pm
BEFORE CAMP: 8:00 am to 9:00 am
AFTER CAMP: 3:30 pm to 5:30 pm

* Parents may begin drop-off 10 minutes prior to camp start time.

CAMP SESSIONS / SHOWS
Every child will have a role in one show each session, regardless of previous experience. The shows will be cast by the second day of camp. Audition information (done on day 1 of camp) will be sent home in early May. Each student will take part in shows on the final Thursday, Friday, and Saturday of their camp session (*just Thursday & Friday for students enrolled in ages 6-8 camp sessions).

CAMP LOCATION
Rocky Mountain Conservatory Theatre's Summer Camp 2012 will be held at Colorado Heights University (formerly known as Teikyo Loretto Heights University)! The campus is located at 3001 South Federal Blvd., Denver, CO 80236. Our performances will take place in the 'Little Auditorium', and students will spend time working in other classrooms in which camp will take place. HERE is a link to Mapquest showing the distance between DU and CHU, and HERE is a link the CHU website. CHU is located at Dartmouth Avenue and Federal Boulevard, conveniently right next to US-285 and very close to US-85/Santa Fe. We are thrilled to begin programming in this space, and there are several exciting features that we will be able to offer this year at camp. Ticket prices will be lower than when camp was at the University of Denver. Parking will be easier, plentiful, and free. We will have many spaces to work in, as well as beautiful outdoor spaces on the campus of CHU so that our students can occasionally rehearse, play, and relax in the fresh air. All other aspects of camp (dates, shows, instruction, etc.) will remain the same as years past. Our instructors are looking forward to our second year at CHU, and to meeting and working with your children in a few months.

This is an exciting move for us, as we are taking steps host more offerings for year-round affordable theatre programming. We pride ourselves on providing the highest quality theatre arts programming, as well as life building skills that create the long-term healthy relationships that our students have grown accustomed to experiencing. We look forward to creating new memories with new and old students in our new space this summer and beyond.

CAMP LUNCH/ SNACKS
Students bring their lunch and any snacks or drinks that they would like to eat during break times. We will not have a refrigerator available, so please put the lunch into a cooler bag. Healthy snacks and beverages will be available for purchase during breaks.

AUDITIONS

Please refer to the "Parent Page" of our website in late April for Camp Day 1 audition information. All camp registrants will receive a packet in the mail in early May with instructions and camper notices.

CAMP SCHEDULE
Campers will do everything that it takes to put on a show. The day is divided into several class blocks with rotating activities including: Acting, Music/Voice, Dance, Art, and Rehearsal. Group warm-ups and closings with the entire camp will take place at the beginning and end of each day. Additionally, Theatre Games and Improv, as well as Specialty classes and workshops, round out the fun. Summer Camp 2012 with RMCT will be filled with dynamic theatre experiences. At the end of three weeks, audiences will be delighted with the productions that the students put on.

SHOW DESCRIPTIONS

AGES 6-8 * DISNEY’S 101 DALMATIANS - Join all the dogs of London, as they daringly rescue the Dalmatian puppies from the monstrous Cruella De Vil and her bumbling henchmen, who have plotted to steal them for her new fur coat!

AGES 9-12 * SEUSSICAL - In this fantastical, magical, musical extravaganza, all of our favorite Dr. Seuss characters are brought to life, and in the spirit of imagination, we are transported through many peculiar new places…..

AGES 13-17 * SWEENEY TODD - In Sondheim’s musical thriller, murderous barber-ism and culinary crime tell the tale of the unjustly exiled barber who returns to 19th century London seeking revenge in this humorous, dark drama.

AGES 6-8 * DISNEY’S ARISTOCATS - Duchess and her AristoKittens are cat-napped & abandoned in the Parisian countryside, but luckily, Thomas O’Malley and his bunch of rag-tag Alley Cats come to their rescue in this jazzy adventure!

AGES 9-12 * DISNEY’S ALADDIN - Welcome to Agrabah, City of Enchantment, where Aladdin, Jasmine, the Genie, Sultan, and Jafar are some of the colorful characters in this tale of magic, mayhem, and flying carpet rides…….

AGES 13-17 * FIDDLER ON THE ROOF - One of Broadway’s great masterpieces, Fiddler covers the full range of human emotions. The story of Tevye & his 5 daughters facing social challenges creates a memorable musical drama.

ALL AGES * HAIRSPRAY - This Broadway musical sweeps audiences away to 1960's Baltimore, where change is in the air! Can loveable heroine & overnight celebrity Tracy integrate a tv show and find love, without messing her hair?

Rocky Mountain Conservatory Theatre began enrollment for students in our 2012 Theatre Arts Summer Camp on Monday, January 2nd, 2012. Registration is on a first come, first serve basis. Our goal is to provide a superior experience to all children and young adults interested in theatre and performing arts. We believe that we are very competitively priced with other summer camps in the Denver-metro area. The following page will explain our tuition rates. YOU WILL BE ABLE TO REGISTER AND PAY BELOW, USING OUR ONLINE REGISTRATION SYSTEM WHERE YOU CAN CREATE FAMILY ACCOUNTS.

*NOTE: RMCT'S SUMMER CAMP 2012 DISCOUNTS ARE COMBINABLE, BUT NO STUDENT MAY RECEIVE A DISCOUNT OF OVER $100.00 PER SESSION.

PAYMENT
We accept personal checks and all major credit cards as payment options for registration fees, deposit, and tuition balance. Please make checks payable to: Rocky Mountain Conservatory Theatre (or RMCT). Registering online with an account will allow you to create payment preferences, as well as set-up automatic tuition payments for camp tuition balances.

TUITION
Summer camp tuition includes: all classes in the session, a child's camp t-shirt, a rehearsal script, and a pizza party. Please make sure to note shirt size on the Registration Form. The tuition for Rocky Mountain Conservatory Theatre Summer Camp 2012 is as follows:

Tuition for 1 session, before March 1st: $775.00 ($25.00 early discount)
Tuition for 2 sessions, before March 1st: $1,525.00 ($75.00 early* & two sessions combined discount)
Tuition for 3 sessions, before March 1st: $2,250.00 ($150.00 early* & three sessions combined discount)
Tuition for 1 session, after March 1st: $800.00
Tuition for 2 sessions, after March 1st: $1,575.00 ($25.00 two sessions discount)
Tuition for 3 sessions, after March 1st: $2,325.00 ($75.00 three sessions combined discount)

DEPOSIT-ONLY PAYMENTS NOW!
Deposit for Summer Camp is due upon enrollment. There is a non-refundable deposit (this is part of the total tuition, not in addition to the tuition amount) for each session the child is enrolling in. This deposit is a reservation of space in the Summer Camp program for your child. The remainder of the tuition must be paid on or before the date of May 15, 2012 in order to guarantee your child's space in camp. The deposit can be paid by personal check or credit card (credit/debit card only if registering online). There will be no refunds for any portion of the tuition after the first day of camp.

Deposit for three sessions: $800.00

EXTENDED HOURS - BEFORE CAMP & AFTER CAMP
We will provide before and aftercare for students, in an effort to make camp practical for working parents. During this time, students will be involved in games, entertainment, and stage crafts. You may use these services on an as-needed basis. On the Registration Form or during online registration, there is a space provided for parents to give a general estimate of the hours and frequency with which they think that their child will be spending in AM and PM Extended Hours. This does not need to be exact, but it helps to give us a general idea of how we should plan to staff these hours. A bill for extended hours will be sent home each Friday, and should be paid the following Monday. As for the last Friday of each session, we expect that payment for prior hours used will be sent by mail. The rates for extended hours are as follows:

AM - Before Camp (8:00 - 9:00): $7.00 per hour (charged in 1/2 hour increments)
PM - After Camp (3:30 - 5:30): $7.00 per hour (charged in 1/2 hour increments)

* There will be a $1.00 per minute charge for each minute after 5:30 a child is left in PM Extended Hours, (during non-emergency circumstances.)

REGISTRATION FEE
There is a $25.00 registration fee per student for Summer Camp, which is due upon deposit.

SIBLING DISCOUNTS
RMCT offers a sibling discount as follows:

2nd child: $25.00 off tuition
3rd child: $50.00 off tuition
4th child: $75.00 off tuition
(sibling discounts are per session, so you can receive more sibling discounts for multiple sessions)

DU FACULTY & STAFF DISCOUNTS
Rocky Mountain Conservatory Theatre offers tuition discounts to children of the University of Denver faculty and staff. We are pleased to be able to serve our loyal families who are part of the DU community for our sixth year! The tuition rates for these children are as follows:

INTRODUCING OUR NEW: REFERRAL REWARDS PROGRAM

Is your child a returning camper in 2012? If yes, then you are eligible for our Referral Rewards Program. RMCT is excited to announce this new discount to previous campers! We appreciate your patronage and compliments. For each student that marks your name on their registration form in the space that states, “How did you hear about RMCT?”, you will receive one $25 Reward*. Let us know if you think one of your friends would like a camp brochure mailed to them.

*$25 reward is applicable for families returning to RMCT, one $25 reward per new student (never enrolled in RMCT programming) for a camp session they enroll in, new camper registration form must specify you as their referral source at time of enrollment, reward deducted from tuition balance, not deposit.

ENROLLMENT FORMS
Rocky Mountain Conservatory Theatre has two forms for parents to fill out: a Registration Information Form, and a Parental Permission Form. These forms need to be completed upon enrollment, as they are important for processing purposes. If you are registering online, the Registration Information Form will be completed during the registration process, and you must sign and return only the paper copy of the Parental Permission Form. If you are registering by mail (or making deposit by phone), you must print and complete the Combination Registration Information Form & Parental Permission Form. If you are enrolling more than one child, please fill out separate forms for each child.
